What Type of Contributions are Significant to Fund Causes for Humanity?

Religious organizations are non-profit organizations; function primarily on weekly offering (donations from members) and volunteers. 

Many community organizations [e.g. civic associations and community development corporations (CDC)] are non-profit organizations; function primarily on government grants and volunteers.

Orientation of a Small "Stand-alone" Solar System

Now that you have solar panels, there are a few tips to help you get the biggest bang for your buck; in other words; help you to produce optimum solar energy.

Your solar panels should be oriented geographically to maximize the amount of daily and seasonal solar energy that they receive. In general, the optimum orientation for a solar panels in the northern hemisphere is true south. However, your modules can face up to 45º east or west of true south without significantly decreasing its performance.

If you plan to mount the modules on your roof, you should also consider:

• Roof orientation and condition
• Local landscape features that shade the collector daily or seasonally
• Local weather conditions (foggy mornings or cloudy afternoons) that may affect the optimal orientation and subsequent electricity production of the solar panels.

 Regardless of where your solar panels are located, they must have the appropriate title to produce optimum solar energy. Although the optimal tilt angle for your solar panel is an angle equal to your latitude, fixing the solar panel flat is generally not a problem. Three major benefits of small stand-alone solar system

People who are shopping for a whole house solar system are aware of some of the restrictions and some of the expenses associated with installing a whole house solar system.

First, one possible restriction associated with installing a whole house solar is the Neighborhood Covenant.  Many neighborhoods that are governed by a homeowners association (HOA) prohibit installation of whole house solar systems.  Based on our research, there are a few HOA bylaws that allow residents to petition for approval to install a whole house solar system.  In those rare situations the homeowner and the solar installation company must submit an application and the installation plans to solicit approval before they begin the installation project.

Second, two cost relative to a whole house solar system; that are not relative to a small stand-alone solar system [not including the different equipment e.g. hardware] are: (1) installation expenses and (2) cost for local permits.

Installation expenses are relative to a whole house solar system; but are not required for a small stand-alone solar system.  Most homeowners seeking to install a whole house solar system must obtain permits from their city or county building department. These include a building permit, an electrical permit, or both. On the other hand, most small stand-alone solar systems are designed for do-it-yourself (DIY) projects and only require assembly; not a licensed electrician or a certified solar installer.

The cost for local permits is relative to a whole house solar system; but is not required for a small stand-alone solar system. Again, most DIY small stand-alone solar systems are designed to be mobile and portable; therefore, not local permits are required.

The Convenience of Riser Products – Portable Electricity Unit

In the summer of 2013, two industrious youth solicited to cut my yard for $20. This was a noble offer; however, they did not have tools or a lawnmower.  When I inquired about their tools, they said, they would use my tools; that was the reason their quote was low; it accounted for the $20 owner tools discount.
